The driving passion behind Bird On A Wire is to showcase the uniqueness of each grape variety from single vineyard sites. Caroline Mooney's wines are generous and beautifully balanced. Raised in the Yarra Valley by Leo and Mary Mooney, who founded the Yarra Valley Dairy, there's not much Caroline does not know about this beautiful and fine wine producing region.Â
The red fruit flavours make this a delightful wine to drink young, but with some age you will see this wine come into its own. You don’t have to cellar it for long and you will start to see some more earthy characters build more complexity and intrigue in this Pinot.
