Carillion Six Clones Pinot Noir 2022
Fun Fact: Blue moons are more common than 97 Point Pinot Noirs for less than $30.Ā I had a quick look through the Piot Noirs to receive 97 points in Halliday's Wine Companion over the last 20 years.Ā There's a few.Ā There's been 7 blue moons in that time.
In the Halliday Companion about to be released I can add one more to the exclusive list-Ā Carillion Six Clones Pinot Noir 2022.
It receivedĀ 97 Points. Halliday lists an RRP of $45 and one retailer has set the price at $40.Ā But we've discounted the price and we have it for $29.99.
Carillon is a well established winery in Australia's 'on trend' wine region - Orange, NSW.Ā Ā As the name suggests, this wine is a mix of five Burgundian clones meld together and what a result this produced in 2022.
In terms of taste, the palate is awash with dark cherry notes, a savoury backbone complemented by a swathe of plush tannins on the long, lingering finish. The balance of the wine is world class.
With a 97 point rating, a $29.99 price tag and Halliday's Companion about to be released, this is guaranteedĀ to sell out before the next blue moon.
