Sourced from 20-year-old vines from the McKays Vineyard, planted amongst the limestone and slate soils of Watervale.Ā A medium to light bodied wine, the 2019 is fresh and youthful in the glass, showing bright red with purple hues. The nose has hints of cloves and asian spices, along with dark cherry and satsuma plum characters. The palate shows a good core of dark and red fruits balanced with a sway of firm tannins. The wine finishes with savoury dark earth characters.
