Freycinet Riesling 2025

Freycinet Riesling 2025

" Pale straw in the glass with aromas of grapefruit, green apple and citrus along with hints of clover blossom, pressed wildflowers, apple sorbet, crushed riverstone, sea breeze and distant notes of soft spice and ozone. Lime rolls in on the palate with a sheen of grapefruit pith texture, all wrapped up with a stony acid line and some lovely focus on the exit"- 94 Points. Dave Brookes, Halliday Wine Companion.

The Tasmanian climate is ideal for producing fine elegant Rieslings with beautiful varietal definition. The aroma of fresh flowers with a hint of lime leap out of the glass. The elegant palate reveals rippling, juicy citrus flavours reminiscent of ripe lemons and limes combining with a crisp long taut after-taste.

While excellent drinking as a young wine it will develop slowly and beautifully over a 10 to 20 year period in good cellars at a constant cool temperature. With ageing, the wine takes up a more golden colour and develops gorgeous secondary characters of honey and toast.
